The developers at Bluepoch have posted a Devs Broadcast on their X handle, detailing the upcoming optimizations, and all the freebies players can obtain in the forthcoming update. Timekeepers can get Unilogs, Clear Drops, Jar of Picrasma Candy, and more as free rewards.

Reverse 1999 version 1.8 Devs Broadcast: All free rewards

Timekeepers can obtain free Unilogs by participating in the sign-in event, Journey to the North. Bluepoch will conduct this sign-in event in two parts, each granting 7 Unilogs for free. To claim the free rewards, players must log in to the app daily when the event goes live.

Additionally, Bluepoch will send Clear Drop ✕ 600 and Jar of Picrasma Candy ✕ 5 to all Timekeepers’ in-game mailboxes during the version 1.8 update. To be eligible for these, Timekeepers will have to complete Chapter 1, Wretched Brats of the Main Story before August 15, 2024, at 04:59 UTC-5. Here are the details of the forthcoming optimizations and adjustments as per the Reverse 1999 version 1.8 Devs Broadcast:

1) Anecdote Adjustments

In the Reverse 1999 version 1.8, the battle section of Anecdote will be replaced with Reminiscence. With this feature, Timekeepers can dispatch their best Reverse 1999 Arcanists to perform Reminiscence, which costs Image Boxes. Those Arcanists meeting the requirement for Reminiscence can decrease the time required to clear the stages and even unlock hidden messages. Timekeepers can obtain various in-game item rewards by clearing the Reminiscence stages.

2) Replay Optimizations

In the Reverse 1999 version 1.8, Timekeepers will be able to view the number of rounds taken to complete a particular stage in the already saved replay. Additionally, they will also be able to change the garments of their desired character while replaying any stage.

This means version 1.8 will start on August 15 and end on September 19, 2024, at 04:59 UTC-5, lasting 35 days. As a result, the Roar Decibel level for the upcoming version update’s Roar Jukebox period will start from Level 11.
