Apex Legends data miners have found a variety of new game files that indicate the possible release of Electronic Arts battle royale’s OG version alongside the popular Dummies mode as a future Limited Time Mode (LTM). This possibly implies the community could experience the game in its previous seasonal updates. However, there are no details about the exact season, so the developers might bring back specific features from different updates.

Apex Legends OG version and Dummies game files leaked

Dataminers have successfully dug up different game files after the latest update, including the addition of the outdated weapon versions that were released till Season 2. This was shared by @Osvaldatore in a recent X post, with the image showcasing the Wingman as a heavy-ammo-type weapon.

This means several forgotten gun features would be back, including select fire mode for the Havoc and Prowler. It would be an interesting take as many veterans would be able to replay their nostalgia while the newcomers would get to experience the early days of Apex Legends.

However, it is unknown if the shield core system will be preserved for such a mode and the changes will only be applied to the weapons. If the LTM for the OG version is a completely reverted iteration, all the legend abilities and maps included in the mode might have to be brought back from the previous seasons.

Another X post by @RitzKing_ showcased a playlist icon that contained three dummies. This might be included to be added later in the rumored Dummies mode LTM placeholder. It is a fun mode that was added in Season 3 and replaced all the legends with Firing Range Dummies. All of them had a randomizer for the ultimate ability and a basic signature ability.

The original release included a random loot spawning ability and the ultimate ability could be one of three: Emergency Dance Party, Emergency Loot Piñata, or Emergency Area Heal. If the developers decide to release a new Dummies LTM in future updates, fans can expect to see a few changes like the inclusion of some new abilities in the randomizer.
