His design will reportedly be shark-themed, and he will have water-based abilities.
Deadlock looks set to be one of the best games in the third-person shooter genre. It appears to be a mix of Valorant, CS2, and Overwatch, with MOBA elements. The game is under development but is currently available for playtest through friend invites on Steam.

Deadlock Intel has leaked gameplay footage and an unfinished character design of a new hero. They named the hero ‘Sloth’ because of his design and water-themed abilities.
Design
In the videos shared by the data miner on X, the hero can be seen wearing a blue (water) colored costume with a pinata-like shark over his head. He is also donning blue colored goggles, as if protecting his eyes from water damage.
This is possibly a prototype design, but the concept and theme of ‘water’ has been made very clear.

Abilities
The hero's leaked abilities are also water-themed and include single or multiple target attacks:
- Ability 1 - Riptide: Sloth sends a water wave forward. The wave can bounce off walls and knocks enemies up in the air upon contact. It can affect multiple targets.
- Ability 2 - Chomp: You latch onto your nearest enemy for a few seconds, dealing damage. This ability affects only a single target.
- Ability 3 - Deep’s Embrace: You encase yourself in a water bubble. It is not shown what this ability actually does. However, we can assume it gives some sort of shield or buff for a short period of time.
- Ability 4 - Ambush Predator: After a small windup time, you go invisible and can surprise multiple targets at once, dealing damage to all.

Valve's new project, although still in playtest stage, has a concurrent player base of more than 100,000. The game still needs a lot of refinement before official release, but it is quite evident that it will be a popular name in the third-person shooter MOBA category.
Valve has certainly done a good job attracting gamers and is on the correct path to success.
