Deadlock unreleased heroes leaked: Everything we know so far

Several Deadlock unreleased heroes were leaked recently, generating a lot of hype in the community. Valve's highly anticipated MOBA shooter title has been gaining hundreds of thousands of players daily, despite being an invite-only game on Steam. As of now, the game has 21 heroes with unique abilities and equally interesting backstories.

The new leaks, which were re-posted on the official Deadlock subreddit by user u/JD_22_, suggest that 12 new heroes might be added to the game soon. With that said, this article will highlight five such leaked heroes as well as what you can expect from them.

The Reddit post contains information about 12 Deadlock unreleased heroes, most of whom are already available to try in Sandbox Mode through the Deadlock console.

1) Astro

Astro is a fast-paced hero, who wears a cowboy-themed costume and shoots a revolver. One of the few Deadlock unreleased heroes that seems to be fully finished and developed, he has the following abilities:

• Powder Keg: Throws a rolling barrel that explodes upon contact or getting shot.
• Bounce Pad: Deploys a moderately strong jump pad.
• Hat Trick: Throws a hat that slows enemies and reveals their position even through walls for a few seconds.
• Spirit Lasso: Traps the opponent with a powerful rope that deals massive Spirit Damage.

2) Cadence

Cadence is a musical hero who has pretty unique abilities. In fact, even the background music changes based on the abilities he uses. Do note that even though the ability names have been leaked, their exact in-game descriptions have not been updated at the time of writing.

• Anthem: Appears to provide a small amount of healing to the player.
• Silence Contraptions: Looks like a melee attack buff.
• Lullaby: Stuns the enemy for a few seconds, making it look like they are asleep.
• Crescendo: Turns all the enemies in a set radius into a statue and deals massive Spirit Damage.

3) Gunslinger

Gunslinger is a dual revolver-wielding hero who seems to be unfinished as of yet. Apart from having no movement animations or ability icons, his revolver can deal up to a whopping 500 damage in less than four seconds, which does not seem intentional. Nevertheless, his abilities are Rapid Fire, Rocket Launcher, Tenacity, and Sleep Fire.

4) Kali

Kali is a bizarre-looking hybrid of a human and a lizard. It is armed with a rifle that has an incredible range balanced with a slow rate of fire. Moreover, like Gunslinger, Kali's abilities are unknown as of yet, but the names are: Spinning Blage, Disruptive Charm, Dust Storm, and Trappers Bolo.

5) Slork

Slork has already become a fan favorite, thanks to his funny and cute appearance. The names of this hero's abilities are Riptide, Chomp, Last Breath, and Ability Invis. However, do note that our game crashed multiple times when trying to load in this hero, so you might face the same issue.

Other heroes that are present in the game files but cannot be completely loaded in the Sandbox mode are:

• Mirage
• Nano
• Rutger
• Thumper
• Tokomak
• Wrecker
• Yakuza

Please note that the hero names and abilities are subject to change with the official release of the game. Some of the heroes mentioned might not even make it to the final version of Deadlock.

How to access Deadlock unreleased heroes using the console

You can follow these steps to try out the Deadlock unreleased heroes using the in-game console in Sandbox Mode:

• Start up the Sandbox Mode in the game.
• Press F7 to open the command console.
• Type the command dump_hero_names to display a list of all hidden heroes.
• To play as a specific hero, type selecthero hero_(name), replacing the "(name)" with the hero’s name.

Do note that loading in these heroes could result in constant game crashes since they aren't fully developed yet. The abilities as well as the damage values are also subject to change with the official release.
