New Genshin Impact 5.0 leaks hint at fresh gameplay mechanics, World Level upgrade, and more

The official trailer for Natlan dropped recently and the community is hunting down any crumb of information regarding the upcoming area expansion. Prominent Genshin leaker PTL has released a plethora of details regarding the upcoming sixth region of Teyvat.

The first Genshin Impact 5.0 leak we have is regarding a change to the World Level and Adventure Rank system. The new World Level 9 will be unlocked when you hit rank 58 in the game, allowing you to get better drops from enemies. It can also raise the difficulty a bit.

Another piece of information from the new Genshin Impact 5.0 leaks by PTL is that travelers won't be able to unlock the element of Pyro when the 5.0 update releases. This has led many to wonder how Natlan will work differently from other nations of Teyvat, where you can unlock the respective element by interacting with the statue of seven.

The third leak is regarding a gameplay feature, which will most likely be exclusive to Natlan. PTL posted the following on their official Telegram channel.

  1. Night Soul Eruption: When there is a Nata character in the team, triggering this effect occurs when the character deals elemental damage to enemies. The more Nata characters in the team, the shorter the trigger interval. Night Soul Eruption can further trigger relics and character talents.
  2. Night Soul Empowerment: A buff exclusive to Nata characters, enhancing their movement and combat abilities. Using elemental skills is the quickest way to enter Night Soul Empowerment, which is typically related to Night Soul Value (gauge).
  3. Night Soul Transmission: In areas with the Combustion mechanism where Nata exists, switching to a Nata character while in motion will trigger Night Soul Transmission. When the character enters, special movement actions are performed based on their abilities (refer to character talents for details).

This might introduce a new feature similar to the Pneuma and Ousia mechanics from Fontaine, and this upcoming gameplay feature can only be accessed by the upcoming set of characters from Natlan. While the Genshin Impact 5.0 leaks do mention these changes, some of the aforementioned information may differ once Natlan arrives in late August 2024.
