Genshin Impact 5.0 leaks hint at Natlan map location and more

The Genshin Impact community has received new Natlan map leaks from Uncle Teyvat. They are one of the reliable sources who previously made several accurate claims about Fontaine map expansion. The upcoming Pyro Nation in version 5.0 is located west of Sumeru's Desert of Hadramaveth and is much closer than fans might expect.

The source has drawn a rough sketch using the current in-game, disclosing the distance between the two regions. They appear to be connected through a small passage. A similar approach was taken when travelers had to use a passage from Chenyu Vale to enter Sumeru for the first time.

Apart from the map sketch, Uncle Teyvat claims that Natlan will be a layered map located in the sky. The new map won't have a large south shoreline and will be a different continent separated from Sumeru's desert via the ocean. The new region is rumored to feature a layered map with around 13 to 15 underground cave systems, each having one to four layers. The leaks claim that these will be more similar to Chenyu Vale caves instead to Sumeru caves.

The Natlan region releasing in version 5.0 will have the same size as the new Sumeru released during the version 3.1 map. Although the initial map size might not seem large enough in the beginning, officials have plans to expand the map to north and south in future updates, as claimed by the source.
