Recently, an array of Honkai Star Rail 2.7 leaks have surfaced online. Among all, one particular post from reliable source Step Leaks has hinted that a new feature/event will be added with the launch of the upcoming patch. It would let Trailblazers choose a standard 5-star character and more. If its rumor turns out to be true, it will be the second time HoYoverse bestows a 5-star unit for free.

As per the post from Step Leaks, in Honkai Star Rail 2.7, HoYoverse may introduce the “Gift of the Express” feature/event that would let Trailblazers choose any standard 5-star character such as Clara, Bailu, Welt, Yanqing, Himeko, Gepard, and Bronya for free. However, the leak doesn’t mention if the “Gift of the Express” will be available permanently or will work like the free Dr. Ratio event in version 1.6.
Getting a free 5-star be it a limited or standard character for free is a big deal for the players since the developers usually do not give them away without any special occasion. Previously, HoYoverse gave away Dr. Ratio for free to commemorate Honkai Star Rail winning the Google Play Best Game of 2023, iPhone Game of the Year, and TGA 2023 Best Mobile Game awards.
Additionally, along with the free standard 5-star character selector, players would be able to get 1,600 Stellar Jades, which is equivalent to 10 Star Rail Passes/Special Passes.
