Honkai Star Rail leaks hint at new path switching options for upcoming characters

In the midst of Trailblazers enjoying the Honkai Star Rail version 2.4 patch, a rumor from prominent leaker Seele Leaks has surfaced online. It hints that players will get a new character gacha system that enables them to switch Paths of the characters available in the game. This new and unique feature unlocks various possibilities for the Trailblazers so they can use the same unit in several team compositions as either DPS or a buffer character.

As mentioned, this Honkai Star Rail leak suggests Trailblazers may get a new gacha warping system feature that will let them acquire the same character but will tread on a dissimilar Path. According to the rumor, this will likely be released along with the version 3.0 update.

The patch is also reportedly launching the brand-new Trailblazing destination, Amphoreous. While the developers haven’t announced anything regarding the aforementioned information, we can expect them to share more details in upcoming Special Program live broadcasts.

This new Path switching feature will work like March 7th’s The Hunt and Preservation Paths. Taking Kafka as an example, players will likely have to roll/summon for the new Kafka treading on the Hunt Path. If Trailblazers have the Nihility Path following Kafka in their possession already, they will be able to switch her paths the same way players can switch March and Trailblazers’.

Moreover, if players already have the character, they will just unlock the new Path. Like March and Trailblazer, players won’t be able to use the character with two Paths simultaneously and their level will be shared. Hence, players won't have to level a character every time they acquire a new Path for them.
