According to a leak by @UAnony, XDefiant will receive a ping system. The post was retweeted by popular XDefiant reporter @XDefiantAlerts. FPS titles like COD, and Apex Legends already have this feature to point out any threats, weapons, or other important things in-game. However, this arena shooter lacks the necessary features to help players who don’t have mics or don’t wanna use mics.

As mentioned above, the leaker suggests that XDefiant developers might implement the ping system in-game. Hence, here’s a quick glimpse of all the potential features that might be included in the upcoming ping system:

Can ping Objective up to 60 meters
Overall ping up to 80 meters
The ping will exist for 5 seconds
5 seconds cooldown after using any pings

That said, the leaker mentioned that these features are subject to change. Developers might add more pings to improve the overall experience for the player base.

Following the emergence of the arena shooter, the FPS community compared it with the CoD titles. Despite the game facing several drawbacks earlier, its developers are constantly pushing multiple updates to enhance its quality.
