New Wuthering Waves leaks suggest a massive rework coming to the co-op feature.

Coming straight from the Xiangli Yao and Zhezhi weapon leaks, the Wuthering Waves community seems to be stirred up by new datamined information as version 1.1's second phase draws near. Reliable Genshin Impact/ Honkai Star Rail/ Wuthering Waves/ Zenless Zone Zero leaker Mero has posted the following on their telegram channel.

"Take it with a grain of salt. There are hints that Wuwa might get some co-op activity or co-op rework. The difference from the current co-op will be that all players will have separate teams, and they will be able to use all 3 characters in their team."

From the looks of it, the team at Kuro Games is reworking the co-op side of things in Wuthering Waves. Currently, the game limits you to one Resonator per player when you engage in its multiplayer mode. While this works in theory, it does restrict you from using intro and outro skills.

If the Wutherng Waves leaks are correct, you will be able to use all three of your characters in the co-op mode, allowing you to take full advantage of the buffs you get from intro or outro skills. Moreover, "all players will have separate teams."

This will bring a massive upgrade to the game's multiplayer, and more people might actually play it.

But nothing is set in stone and this Wuthering Waves leak might turn out to be another boy crying wolf. There's also a chance the multiplayer rework was something that developers had actually been working on but scrapped due to technical difficulties. Hopefully, the developers will soon announce the new features that they plan on implementing into the game.
