What can we expect from Search and Destroy in XDefiant?
We expect the Search and Destroy in XDefiant to be quite similar to the game mode that is present in other established arena shooters like Call of Duty.
We believe this game mode will feature two teams of six, which is the maximum team limit in the game. One of the teams will be the Attackers, who aim to get the bomb planted, while the other team will feature Defenders, whose primary job is to prevent the bomb from getting planted.
We believe this game mode will be round-based, and players will only get one life per round. Traditionally, Search and Destroy does not feature unlimited or multiple respawns, so, naturally, we speculate that Ubisoft might stick to the general ruleset for the game mode.

While the objectives of planting and destroying the bomb in the game remain, eliminations will still make a major difference in settling the score. If players can manage to eliminate either team without planting or defusing the bomb, the point for the round will automatically be awarded to them.
It will be quite interesting to see how Search and Destroy takes place in Ubisoft's 6v6 arena-shooter. With a plethora of unique class abilities in the mix, the strategies involved in playing out this game mode will indeed be a treat to watch. Furthermore, we speculate that Search and Destroy will see its release with either the mid-season update for Season 1 or the debut of XDF Season 2.
