What's the Story?

Sachin Tendulkar's newest mobile game just hit 2 million downloads in less than a month of its launch.The game was launched on both Android and iOS and has been a hit amongst cricket fans.

Gaming company JetSynthesys will celebrate this milestone by hosting the first ever mobile eSports event at the India Gaming Show. Sachin Saga is all set to be a part of the event, the qualifiers for the event started on 5th January, 2018 and is now underway.

Sachin Saga is the only game to receive almost 1 million pre-registrations on Google Play and was also featured as #1 by Google on pre-registration amongst other top applications.

The Heart of the Matter

With this event, JetSynthesys has introduced mobile eSports to cricket fans in India. Since, Sachin Saga, itself, was such a huge success, an eSports event which includes the game is likely to be popular as well. The qualifiers for the event will end on 12th January, 2018.

Thousands of top players are expected to play the qualifiers. The final rounds will be held in Bangalore between 19th and 21st January, 2018 and the winner will take home over Rs. 1 lakh as cash prize.

Mr. Rajan Navani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JetSynthesys was extremely happy when Sachin Saga hit 2 million downloads. Regarding the eSports event, he went on to say that, "Celebrating 2 Million downloads, we’re bringing mobile eSports to the country for the first time in cricket and aim to blur the line between physical and digital, and simultaneously engage gaming enthusiasts in a unique experience of sporting events".

What's Next?

The eSports event marks a new landmark for cricket fans in India. An event like this is being organised for the first time in the country and it remains to be seen if the event will be as successful as the game itself.
