Santa Monica Studio recently revealed that there are working on a new God of War game for PS4. Cory Barlog, Santa Monica Studio’s Creative Director announced they are developing a new game while responding a fan’s question at the PlayStation Experience event this Sunday in Las Vegas. He refused to however reveal any further details.
When IGN quizzed him to give away some more details about the new game, he replied saying “We won’t hear more about the game until the next year or two.” Maintaining the suspense, Balrog didn’t comment on what the new God of War game on PS4 would be about. Nothing could be uncovered about whether the new gave would be a prequel, a sequel or a reboot of the gaming franchise. Barlog didn’t even disclose if Kratos would be seen in this new game.
With several new exciting new games being launched this weekend, it is pretty obvious that God of War is taking a backseat until 2016 to avoid competition. 2015 would be witnessing the release of many new games already. It is a very wise decision of Santa Monica Studios to preserve the game for the future.
Fans will definitely have to wait for a long time before they actually get their hands on this new enthralling game as it is in its early phase of development
