Nintendo’s first wave of amiibo released last month on November 21st, coinciding with the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. So far Nintendo has announced that there will be four waves of amiibo and the second wave was slated to release this month. However, Nintendo did not specify a release date for the second wave in the US. But after another leak of one of Best Buy’s ad-flyers, it turns out that the amiibo release date is set for next week, December 19th.
The flyer also states that there will be a buy one get one 40% off all Wii U and 3DS games from Nintendo, as well as the release date for the next six amiibo. Aside from Best Buy, Toys ‘R’ Us and Amazon/Target/Walmart will also be releasing their amiibo collection, though each has a different date.
Though Best Buy and Nintendo have not confirmed this information, so buyers will have to wait for an official confirmation. But with other stores releasing their amiibos earlier, that isn’t too much of a worry.
