Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is the much-anticipated sequel to 2017’s Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice. Developed by Ninja Theory and published by Xbox Game Studios, this story-heavy action-adventure game sees the titular protagonist Senua return for a gripping new take on Norse mythology.

Set after the events of its predecessor, Senua arrives in 10th-century Iceland inspired by real-world locales. The sequel once again tackles mental illness via the storytelling medium; tormented by voices in her head thanks to psychosis, she must battle her way through powerful enemies and haunting set-pieces that will make both her and players question reality.

Fundamental gameplay remains the same as the first. This is a third-person hack & slash game that will see Senua navigate linear levels solve puzzles to move forward and engage in occasional real-time combat against varied foes. Players will also encounter varied set pieces that bend reality to result in varied objectives and progression elements.
