Shortage in Escape from Tarkov is one of the early wipe tasks and is rather easy to complete. This quest can be unlocked and acquired from the Therapist, but you must complete the First in Line quest before it. Since the title offers a hardcore feel and there are no indicators, you need to look for the quest items manually.

This guide will discuss how you can easily complete Shortage in Escape from Tarkov.

After you complete most of your Ground Zero tasks, you can start doing Shortage in Escape from Tarkov. To finish the quest, you need to complete the following objectives:

  • Find three Salewa first aid kits in raids.
  • Hand the Salewa first aid kits to the Therapist.

Since the game doesn't hint where the Salewa first aid kits usually spawn, you may look at the wrong places, wasting your precious time. This healing item usually spawns in various maps but you can easily get it in Customs, Woods, Interchange, Shoreline, and Reserve.

In Customs, you can look in the medical building near RUAF Roadblock. Another place you can look is inside the Stronghold or Fortress. The medical bag near the Old Gas Station blue fence also has a chance of spawning a Salewa.

As for the Woods, look in the medical/military camp near the RUAF Roadblock extraction point. The camp is filled with medical bags and cases. Moreover, there is a high chance you can find Salewa first aid kits in the medical tent here.

Apart from Customs and Woods, you can load into Interchange to look for this quest item. While some medical supplies are locked behind doors that need appropriate keys, few locations have a decent chance to spawn Salewa. The Mantis Store in Interchange is where you should look for this quest item. If you have a friend who has the keys, they can open the EMERCOM medical unit for you to look for your Salewas.

When you find three Salewa first aid kits, hand them over to the Therapist to finish Shortage in Escape from Tarkov and get the following rewards:

  • Therapist reputation – +0.03
  • x15,000 – Roubles
  • x2 – Car first aid kit
  • x4 – Analgin painkillers
  • x4 – Immobilizing splint
