Nobody Wants to Die is the brand new narrative adventure by Critical Hit Games. It may look similar to the Fallout or Bioshock series, but the deep environmental storytelling and eye-catching level designs are what sets it apart. Players are expected to make multiple difficult choices, some of which can affect the game's narrative. The first choice takes place during the investigation in Green Tower.
While many of the actual choices don’t affect the overall narrative, players can still unlock new dialogues later in the story based on their decisions. This article explores what happens when you burn the documents in Nobody Wants to Die.

Nobody Wants to Die features two different endings that are determined by the choices players make throughout the game. However, the game presents multiple choices during its playthrough with no way for players to know what choices affect the final outcome.
Thankfully, the choice of burning the documents for Chief while investigating the Green Tower doesn’t really matter. You can choose to destroy the documents and the story will progress with a slightly different set of dialogues.
James and Sara will briefly talk about the player’s choice but it will not affect the overarching plot of Nobody Wants to Die. If players burn the documents in Green Tower, they will unlock new dialogue with the Chief but if the documents are preserved, James will talk about the dangers of UV lights and Sara will make fun of him.
Most dialogue choices in the game are inconsequential, all they do is unlock new dialogues or change the way characters interact with each other. However, there are a couple of key choices that lead to different outcomes towards the end.
What are the choices that matter in Nobody Wants to Die?
There are a lot of choices that the players need to make during the story-driven adventure of Nobody Wants to Die. However, only two of them affect the game's ending.
The first one takes place just after solving the third evidence board. Sara will ask James who he thinks is responsible for events in the story. The second major choice comes a while later after the third evidence board. This time, players will be faced with the choice to save or shoot Jane Salma in Central Park.
The choice players make in both these incidents will lead to one of the two possible endings: End of Deadly Dreams or Anguish.
To unlock the good ending, players will need to say “Green was behind it all” and then save Jane Salma in Central Park. For the bad ending, players must choose “The Murderer was behind it all” during the third evidence board and kill Jane in Central Park.
