Zenless Zone Zero is a fast-faced combat RPG game with gacha live services. With each update, you will have new characters, W-engines, and more to work on. You can eventually spend battery charges to acquire these resources but that's time-consuming. Like other gacha titles, it has its battle pass system with over 50 levels divided into free and paid versions.
Many players might be curious about the additional rewards you can obtain by getting the paid version. Those who don't mind spending real-life money might wonder if it's worth buying in Zenless Zone Zero. Let us break it all down in this article.

Zenless Zone Zero's battle pass is called the New Eridu City Fund. This system has been popular in many games over the last few years, particularly in the gacha genre.
HoYoverse's popular title, Genshin Impact heavily inspires the ZZZ's version of battle pass. Although there are some differences in reward distribution and monetization, the core concept remains the same. It incentivizes players to spend more time playing and exploring to unlock more levels and rewards.
New Eridu City Fund Plans and Their Differences
Here is a table showing the brought estimate of what you will need:
Keep in mind that Growth and Premium plans are paid subscriptions that reset every new version. Thus players will need to purchase them after new updates to avail all the premium benefits.
Should you buy a Growth/Premium plan in Zenless Zone Zero?
The most significant advantage of the New Eridu City Fund Growth Plan is access to a weapon selector, which includes five exclusive 4-star W-Engines available only to Growth (and Premium) Plan users. The 4-star weapons available through this method are among the best in the game, except the 5-star weapons on Exclusive Channels.
Players will need to unlock level 30 (out of 50) to access the weapon selector. You are limited to one W-Engine per reset which occurs each time a new version is out.
Apart from the 4-star W-Engine, the paid version of the battle pass is only worth it to players who plan to remain active for an entire month. This involves logging into Zenless Zone Zero every day to complete commissions, events, and challenges, on a daily or weekly basis before they expire. Leveling up the New Eridu City funds requires a level of commitment.
Those who aren't planning to religiously play the game as mentioned above, must stay away from buying the battle pass subscriptions to save their money.
Those who want the rewards regardless but with less effort can opt for the Premium Plan. This battle pass subscription will cost you $19.99 in exchange for unlocking 10 levels and a few extra rewards. Although you do a headstart, the fact remains that the player will have to grind to unlock level 50, and all rewards from Zenless Zone Zero battle pass.
