Black Myth Wukong is not an easy game. It has an endless amount of enemies who are actively hunting you down and are ready to kill you. You will feel a spike in difficulty in the later stages of progression, and reading subtitles in the heat of the battle will become extremely challenging.

You can use the Chinese (Mandarin) dub at the beginning of the game; bosses won't drop a ton of important exposition related to understanding the story then. However, as you approach the ending, you will face many tough opponents (names will not be disclosed due to plot-related spoilers) who will provide crucial pieces of information essential for grasping the story of Black Myth Wukong.

People who are not familiar with Mandarin will miss out on these plot-related pieces of information as it is very hard to read subtitles when enemies are hammering you with a flurry of blows that must avoid. This is where you should switch to the English language, unless, of course, the plot is of secondary concern to you.

Hopefully, this helps resolve your dilemma about whether to play Black Myth Wukong with the English or Chinese dub.
