With the launch of Honkai Star Rail 2.3, Ruan Mei will get her first-ever rerun banner following her release in version 1.6. She is one of the powerful Path of Harmony characters in this gacha title by HoYoverse, and she has been dominating the meta ever since her release. Many Trailblazers have skipped Ruan Mei to save for 5-star units such as Black Swan or Sparkle, but they might wonder if they should pull for the former during the upcoming version 2.3 patch.

As Ruan Mei treads on the Path of Harmony, it is a no-brainer that she will fill up the support/buffer role in every team composition. Most of her abilities revolve around buffing her allies and helping them. Even if you want or build Ruan Mei as a damage dealer, which is not recommended, she will not be able to deal decent damage.

But, Ruan Mei can significantly boost her allies’ Weakness Break Efficiency and All-Type RES PEN, which helps them to break through their opponent’s shields and deal colossal damage.

Should you consider pulling Ruan Mei in Honkai Star Rail 2.3?

You should definitely summon Ruan Mei during Honkai Star Rail 2.3 while her first rerun banner is available. If you have characters who scale with Weakness Break, she is a must-have unit for your account. Moreover, if you have enough Stellar Jades saved up for two characters, you should consider pulling Firefly and Ruan Mei as both synergize well with the other.

Boothill is another character that you should consider pairing Ruan Mei with. Courtesy of her buffs, Boothill can unleash explosive damage and take down his opponents one by one.
