Silent Hill 2 New Game Plus mode explained

The remake of the 2001 horror survival game Silent Hill 2 is finally available to play for owners of the Digital Deluxe copy of the game. For most players, the game can take anywhere between 17 to 22 hours to finish. However, there is another mode to delve into after finishing the game. Just like the original 2001 title, Silent Hill 2 Remake features a 'New Game Plus' Mode.

Once you finish James' journey, you will have the liberty to play the game once again in the New Game Plus mode. However, this time, you will find some new endings, weapons, and collectibles. Here is everything you can find in Silent Hill 2 Remake's New Game Plus mode.

After your first playthrough of the game, you can choose to start the game again via the main menu. While restarting the game, there will be two options to select from- Standard and New Game Plus mode. Once you start the game again in the latter mode, players can choose to wear custom masks like Mira the Dog Mask and Pyramid Head Pizza Box Mask.

Additionally, you can opt to use various filters while playing the game again. To make your second experience of the title even better, Konami and Bloober Team have introduced 'The Bullet Adjust Mechanic,' which lets you find many more amounts of bullets in the game. Moreover, the New Game Plus mode will allow you to access some new areas in the game, which might result in new endings.

Some items found in the New Game Plus mode in Silent Hill 2 include:

• Chainsaw weapon: Making your way to Silent Hill for the first time in the game, pay attention to the pile of logs to your right as you head towards the cemetery. In this pile will be a chainsaw that you can equip to kill multiple monsters at the same time.
• Blue Gem: Another great find in this mode is the blue gem. These can be used to unlock the UFO ending.
• Broken Key Parts: Combining these key parts can lead you to the Dog Ending.
• Key of Sorrow
• Lost Memories Book, Crimson Ceremony Book, Obsidian Goblet, White Chrism: these can lead you to the Rebirth ending.
