The Silent Hill 2 pre-load has officially begun. The highly anticipated remake of the iconic PS2 horror game is almost here and fans can now start pre-loading the title to their devices. Although the game is officially slated for release on October 8, 2024, players can download the game right now so that they may get ready to hop into the classic horror adventure as soon as it's released.

The Silent Hill 2 pre-load size for PS5 stands at 50.535 GB. For PC (Steam), the size is expected to be around the same as is mentioned in the requirements for the game. Both Standard and Deluxe Edition owners of Silent Hill 2 will be able to pre-load the game. However, the dates will differ by a few days.
Here's when you'll be able to pre-load the title:
Standard Edition
- Pre-load on October 6, 2024 (midnight)
- Playable on October 8, 2024 (midnight)
Deluxe Edition
- Pre-load on October 4, 2024 (midnight)
- Playable on October 6, 2024 (midnight) (Early Access)
Depending on the version you have purchased, you'll get the option to pre-load the files on the dates mentioned above. Once pre-load is complete, you must wait for it to be released or get the 48-hour Early Access (for Deluxe Edition owners only).
On all platforms, Silent Hill 2 pre-load will start automatically unless you have set it in the settings to not perform auto-updates/downloads.
