Silent Hill 2 Remake entire soundtrack album revealed

The fans of horror survival games are up for a massive treat next week as Silent Hill 2 Remake will finally be out on October 8, 2024. More than two decades after the launch of the original title, Silent Hill 2 Remake will offer better graphics, a more immersive gameplay experience, and a killer soundtrack.

Japanese composer Akira Yamaoka took the entire gaming world by storm when the original Silent Hill 2 was released. The game featured an exciting album, consisting of 31 original tracks. Now, decades later, Konami has released 156 more tracks that will be a part of the upcoming Silent Hill 2 Remake.

A few days back, during a preview event of Silent Hill 2 Remake, Akira Yamaoka stated:

"I have reworked all the tracks. There are segments and bits and pieces of the original tracks that you can hear, but all of the tracks have been reworked from the ground up. I understand that the soundtrack is very much beloved, but ultimately I composed over nine hours worth of music and I'm still wondering how in the world we are going to fit all of that into a soundtrack."

Finally, on September 30, 2024, Konami posted two YouTube videos consisting of 187 tracks in total (including 31 songs from the original 2001 game) that Silent Hill 2 Remake will feature. However, these are just previews of each song and not the full version. The complete list of tracks is given below:
