Skyesports' The Finals League will see 10 Indian teams go up against each other to claim the top prize. Before the matches kick off, an auction will be conducted where the team captains will place their bids for some of the best players in the country. Once the teams are set, the event will kick off this September.

The Finals League is an event hosted by Skyesports. Here's what the organization's CEO, Shiva Nandy, has to say about the tournament:

“We are bringing back our league format once again with THE FINALS League and this time, a player auction has also been planned to add an extra layer of excitement. After hosting a creators-only LAN, an open-for-all community cup, cafe, and collegiate events across India, it's now time for the city-vs-city THE FINALS League, where players can root not only for their favorite gamers but also their local cities and states.”

Teams

As mentioned before, the event will have 10 teams, and each one will represent an Indian city headed by a captain.

Here is a list of the teams that will be featured during the tournament:

  • Mumbai Moonlanders
  • Rajasthan Galactics
  • Delhi Celestials
  • Bengaluru Starbusters
  • Hyderabad Halos
  • Chennai Comets: Vaadhiyaar
  • Punjab Asteroids
  • Ahmedabad Meteors
  • Kolkata Zeniths
  • Pune Supernovas: Ghatak

Prize pool

The Finals League will have an overall prize pool of $10,000 or INR 8.4 Lakhs. This will be divided among the participating teams based on their standings in the tournament. However, the top cash prize is yet to be revealed by the organizers.


Format

Once the player auction is over, all 10 teams will play in a Group Stage. Upon its conclusion, a two-day Playoffs Stage will commence.

This tournament will be played out in a Cash Out mode. Under this mode, four teams of three will drop into the battlefield to collect the most cash within eight minutes. The team that collects the most cash will be crowned the winner.

The Finals League is set to be one of the biggest tournaments for the game in India. It will feature popular content creators and players, such as Binks, Sentinel, Ghatak, Scout, Sikh Warrior, Vaadhi, and more.
