The Spectre Divide Community update’s official blog post clearly stated that the developers are gearing up for weekly events to engage the community. Apart from traditional tournaments, these will include grenade lineups, votes on cosmetic items, Spectre trivia from the developers, and much more.
They further went on to share the first contest with the Ryker Industries fan art. The submissions will end on October 16, 2024, at 10:00 am PT, and three of their favorites will receive the following:
- First Place: 3,000 SP + Event Winner Weapon Charm
- Second Place: 2,000 SP + Event Winner Weapon Charm
- Third Place: 1,500 SP + Event Winner Weapon Charm
New grassroot tournaments
The developers are also looking to help out with community-driven tournaments. They plan on supporting grassroot tournaments by minimizing roadblocks, promoting them, assisting with prizes, or even sometimes getting directly involved.
The official blog post included guidelines for hosting such tournaments and mentioned the methods to reach out to the developers whenever help was needed.

New weapon charms
The Spectre Divide Community update revealed two charms, namely the Event Winner Charm and the Community Champion Charm.
The Event Winner Charm was designed for all the official weekly events to be hosted by Mountaintop Studios. It will also be retroactively awarded to all the winners of the Discord tournaments that were held during Alpha and Beta playtests.
The post further shared that the first recipients of the Community Champion Charm will be the Discord volunteers who spent countless hours trying to help with community management.
Finally, anyone hosting community tournaments can request for the charms to be awarded to their winners.
Highlighting the top plays
Coming to the daily ranked players, the developers had some incentives to grind more and make highlight plays. The Spectre Divide Community update blog post stated that each update from now on will include the top five plays from the past weeks and award some Spectre Points. The awards are
- First place: 2,500 SP
- Second to Fifth Place: 1,500 SP
The Spectre Divide Community updates are an interesting way to engage with the community and provide updates about the game’s progress. The updates will be bi-weekly, as mentioned in the post, and will hopefully feature more events and tournaments in the future.
