After much anticipation, Spectre Divide was finally released on September 3, 2024. Unfortunately, the game soon ran into some issues as the Spectre Divide servers experienced a shutdown. However, the title's biggest issue was the slow progression speed. Many players felt that it was simply taking too long to unlock weapons and endorsements by gathering XP and leveling up.
Thankfully, this has been fixed as the September 10 patch notes announced that the XP and Fame gained from Daily and Weekly contracts have been increased. This article will explore the changes made and explain what the increase in points implies for the game.

Spectre Divide brought down its servers on September 10, 2024, to implement its latest patch. This update openly addressed the issue with the progression being way too slow.
The devs at Mountaintop Studios clearly recognized that there was a problem with the game. They admitted that it was all slower than intended, and here is what the official patch notes mention:
"We’ve been tracking progression closely since launch. To our surprise, Weekly/Daily Contracts and Crew Score Progression have been slower than intended, so we’ve increased the amount of XP and Fame from Daily and Weekly contracts. You’ll now unlock Endorsements faster, and you’ll see a quicker climb toward Crew Rewards."
Furthermore, the developers announced that rewards from the Weekly and Daily Contracts have been doubled in just about all areas. So now players will gain more XP and receive two times the reward, including Crew Rewards.
Here is how the scores will work from now on:
- Round Played: increased from 100 to 300
- Daily Goals: increased from 3,000 to 6,000
- Weekly Goals: increased from 12,000 to 24,000
- Team Goals: varies by quest, but generally doubled
Crew Competition:
- Crew Star: increased from 2,000 to 4,000
- Crew Competition Rewards: varies by goal, but generally doubled
Apart from these important changes, the patch notes mentioned the fixing of multiple other bugs and in-game issues as well as the addition of new features. For instance, players can now start custom matches on their own, if they feel the need to practice line-ups or maps in Spectre Divide.
If a team feels like surrendering, they can now do so with the '/ff' command starting from the second round. On top of it, bugs with Social & Report functionality, Store timing, and Endorsement buttons were also fixed.
