Spectre Divide’s developers, Mountaintop Studios, recently released a blog post detailing the overall state of the game and their future plans. The FPS title has been out for five weeks now, and the devs decided that this was the proper time to address any issues and promise their players better days ahead.

Let us dive into the details of the blog post.

Firstly, the devs addressed the declining concurrent player base. This is definitely the most glaring issue and affects the essence of a competitive shooter like Spectre Divide. However, they assured players that servers would not be shutting down anytime soon and that they would take measures like combining matchmaking queues to help with faster queues.

They also revealed that Spectre Divide had been played for 3.67 million hours, completing 1.42 million matches.

Spectre Divide has gone through a lot of updates and fixes since launch. Here is a list of those:

  • Improved overall performance.
  • Faster movement.
  • Snappier equipment.
  • Quicker progression.
  • Reduced cosmetic prices.
  • Fixed color grading.
  • Introduction of solo customs.
  • Ultra-wide support.
  • Better anti-cheat system.
  • New server regions - EU West, NA Northwest, Middle East, South Africa.

The blog also stated that the devs were constantly working on performance and server-side improvements and already had plans to provide a better experience with the upcoming updates.

Battle Pass

The Battle Pass in Spectre Divide is something that the community has been asking for a long time. The developers explained that they had been working on it since before Beta and are planning to launch it alongside Season 1. The Battle Pass will feature a ton of new content and cosmetics for the players to unlock by playing.

Rank Rewards

Teh devs confirmed the arrival of weapon charms as Rank Rewards. They said that the rewards would be provided at the end of Season 0 (the current season).

Careers

The Careers tab was another highly requested feature from the community. The devs have promised a basic version of Careers with the launch of Season 1, which will contain the players’ match history and a few key seasonal statistics.

They further stated that they would improve upon this feature through feedback from the community.

New sponsor

The blog post also revealed the addition of a ninth Sponsor to the game. This will arrive with the launch of Season 1. It will be interesting to see how players adapt to their new abilities.

Season 1 will arrive as soon as December or January, depending on how quickly the developers can polish new features and get them ready for launch. In the meantime, minor fixes and quality-of-life improvements will be done to keep the game in a healthy state.

The devs are also arranging for a chat session on their official Discord server. So, you can keep an eye out for it if you wish to do so.
