Splatoon trailer and release date details revealed

Nintendo has released a lot of info about all the games coming to Wii U and 3DS at yesterdays Nintendo Direct. One of the announcements was about its upcoming release Splatoon, which has already garnered a lot of interest from those who are looking for something. Splatoon is a third-person paint shooting game which was first unveiled at E3 in 2014 and has since received a lot of attention with players eager to know about its release and details. Splatoon looks promising with its multiplayer action and bright colors and apparently this is only the beginning of what Splatoon has to offer.

In Splatoon, you play as an ‘Inkling’ which is a squid like creature that can morph into a human. The game works a bit like paintball in the sense that in order to win you will have to take over various maps with your team and you do this by covering the stage in your team’s color using paint guns and other tools at your disposal. Splatoon will also have a single player campaign mode as well which will include some story elements and features new enemies.

The campaign mode will feature Octopuses vs Squids. The objective is simple. You need to work alongside your team to take out enemy forces while gaining control of the map by inking your team colors all over the place. You can even transform back into a squid and swim through your own ink making map travel easier. The concept for Splatoon seems pretty interesting and unique while the character designs are cute and vibrant, including that of the enemies and they fit well into this colourful little world that Nintendo has created.

The game is expected to be arrive in early 2015 and is certainly one to look out for. Heres a trailer for the game and gameplay.
