The developers of Stalker 2 have announced that the game will soon receive its inaugural patch. The forthcoming modifications will be applied to both the PC and Xbox versions. Although most gameplay elements are well-received, certain issues have led to dissatisfaction within the community. 1) Crash fixes
- Fix: Issues and memory allocation failures caused the game to exit unexpectedly, particularly around rendering, skeletal meshes, and quest-related cutscenes.
2) Main quest progression
- Fix: Several bugs blocking the main quest progression.

- Fix: Issues with quest cutscenes.
- Revision of the main quests (like Visions of Truth or A Minor Incident): It should guarantee smooth transitions and prevent instances where players are unable to continue.
3) Gameplay and balance adjustments
- Fix: The price of the weapons with upgrades installed compared to their value without attachments.
- NPCs' behavior adjustment: The way they act when lacking shelter during the Emissions.
4) Cutscenes and visual
- Fix: Rarely missing facial animations.
- Fix: Misplaced NPCs.
- Fix: Visual inconsistencies like detached heads and clothes clipping.
- Visual effects: Quality and stability improvements.
5) Softlock
- Fix: Players cannot close the trade screen after putting ammo in the wrong slot when playing on a gamepad.
6) User Interface
- Quest notifications: It will be shown correctly during dialogues.
- Fix: Corrected texts and missing interaction prompts.
7) Noted to be addressed in future updates:
- Bug fix: Analog sticks dead zones.
- Bug fix: A-Life system.
While no specific release date for the forthcoming patch has been disclosed yet, fans can anticipate the patch's arrival before November 30, 2024. This expectation is based on the developers' statement made on November 24, 2024. This suggests that the patch would likely be launched within the following week.
