Stalker 2 walkthrough: How to complete A Light at the End of the Tunnel side mission

A Light at the End of the Tunnel is a side mission in Stalker 2 that can be accessed in the Wild Island region. The main objective is to locate and obtain a portable psi installation device deep inside a tunnel. Following that, you can get a hefty amount of Coupons, and also unlock subsequent quests.

A Light at the End of the Tunnel side mission in Stalker 2: Location

The mission can be accessed in the Wild Island region, specifically at Quiet's Camp. Just after you complete the Hot on the Trail main mission in Stalker 2, Quiet will connect with you via radio, and ask for your help to complete a mission. His camp can be located in the south of the Noontide Base.

Reach Quiet's Camp and interact with him. If you accept his request, he will then ask you to visit a person named Peat to learn more about the portable psi installation device. Following that, you need to acquire it and give it to Sidorovich at Rookie Village.

The first objective of this quest is to find Peat. To do that, leave Quiet's Camp, follow the blue objective marker, and travel about 1.2 km south. After reaching the location, find the two-story building, and go inside the second floor to find the Peat Interrogation Recording.

Afterward, visit Rookie Village and talk to Multitool (technician). Ask him about a wounded stalker and he will tell you to get in touch with Whale (medic). Visit his place located nearby and ask him about the wounded stalker. Whale will let you know the wounded stalker, Peat, is in the next room.

Try speaking with Peat, and he will give you the passcode, 1268, to the underground tunnel. Proceed to the objective marker's location on the map to find the tunnel at Mindscrew. Get inside, unlock the door with the passcode 1268, and head forward.

Upon reaching the location with liquid tanker trains and tracks, multiple enemies will start attacking you. Kill them and navigate to the right side of the tunnel to find a control room. Eliminate the enemies in there, and press the red button to open a door. Go through the unlocked door and kill the enemies while avoiding the anomaly present there.

Next, you can find the portable psi installation device inside a red container. However, you need to find a way to turn off its Emitter. To do that, you can either shoot and destroy it or eliminate the invisible Poltergeist there. Notably, it's a better choice to not destroy the Emitter, as that will result in you getting rewarded more in the end.

When the Emitter is shut down after killing the Poltergeist, pick up the portable psi installation and get out of the tunnel. You can follow the same route you've used to get inside. Return to Rookie Village and interact with Sidorovich underground. Give him the item to receive 3239 Coupons as a reward.
