Stalker 2 walkthrough: How to complete Back to Slag Heap mission

Back to Slag Heap is the sixth mission in the main quest of Stalker 2. After concluding the Deal with the Devil, you will be assigned this mission. During the task, you must make some choices that will lead to different outcomes in the quest. However, selecting any option will eventually complete it.

Back to Slag Heap (Meet up with Diode)

Back to Slag Heap is a relatively straightforward and short mission. After concluding the Deal with the Devil quest, Diode will ask you to return to the Slag Heap. Head toward the west of the Plant and you will locate the Slag Heap. Once you reach there, you will encounter three men guarding the entrance.

You don’t need to fight them as they're friendly and will let you enter. Inside the building, you will find Sgt. Metlov. Interacting with him will pop two choices: “I’m looking for Diode.” and “What’s going on?” Select the former option to save time, and he will send you upstairs.

You'll find a door after reaching there, and opening it will encounter Col. Korshunov of the Ward and Dr. Dalin. At this time a cut scene will appear, and then you will be given two choices: “Show the unusual PDA” and “Do not show the unusual PDA.” Here are the options and what will happen on choosing them:

Option 1: "Show the unusual PDA"

If you choose "Show the unusual PDA," Skif will hand over the PDA to Col. Korshunov. At that time, Dalin will introduce himself as the Head of SIRCAA, and Korshunov will ask Skif to visit Wild Island and talk to the leader of the former Monolithians, Strider. He will also give Skif a Ward Badge. However, this choice will lead to additional objectives that will take longer to complete.

Option 2: "Do not show the unusual PDA"

This is the best choice if you want to conclude the Back to Slag Heap mission quickly. As you select the second option, Col. Korshunov and Dalin will be involved in a heated argument and you can simply leave the site.

Leave the Slag Heap and Talk to Richter

As you leave the area, you will find Richter waiting for you. He will then take you outside and ask you to visit the Sawmill and meet Richter.

Get to the Sawmill and talk to Scar

The Sawmill is located southeast of the Slag Heap within the Wild Island zone. As you enter the Sawmill, you will discover Scar and his men around a campfire. A long cutscene will play at that time, during which you will face similar options: “Show the unusual PDA” and “Do not show the unusual PDA.” Here are the options and what will happen if you choose them:

Option1: "Show the unusual PDA"

If you decide to show the unusual PDA, Scar will examine it and order you to visit the Strider on Wild Island. Once you complete his task the Back to Slag Heap mission will complete.

Option 2: "Do not show the unusual PDA"

If you decide not to show the unusual PDA, a dialogue will appear where Scar will give some warning to Skif, and the Back to Slag Heap mission will be completed. This is the best option to select if you quickly conclude the mission.
