Stalker 2 walkthrough: How to complete Just Like the Good Old Days mission

Just like the good old days is one of the many main story missions in Stalker 2. This mission can be started in the Wild Islands region by talking to Professor Lodochka. Just Like the Good Old Days will become available after you escape the SIRCAA, and similar to the other main quests, completing it will require a bit of time and effort.

Stalker 2: Just Like the Good Old Days walkthrough

Just Like the Good Old Days will pop up in the Wild Island area of Chernobyl. To start the quest, you will need to approach the Quiet's Camp in the location and talk to Professor Lodochka. Once you get near the building, another objective will pop up, allowing you to eliminate the mercenaries. Take down the enemies in the area and go inside to find the professor.

After you deal with the mercenaries, talk to Lodochka to learn what happened. Ask him about the Noontider. After you speak with the professor, you can complete an optional objective by turning on the ventilation system.

How to turn on the ventilation system (Optional)

After speaking to Lodochka, head down to the first floor of the building to find a High-Voltage Fuse. Grab it and head north to the Shelter. Head down to the engineering room and ensure your weapons are ready, as you will encounter an enemy here.

In one of the cells, you will find an opening that leads to another room with a broken pipe. Go toward the left, and you will find a path above the pipe. Turn around and advance to the next area to find the Circuit Breaker. Connect the High-Voltage Fuse you found to activate the ventilation system.

Your objective has been completed, and now you can leave the area.

For the next objective in the Just Like the Good Old Days quest in Stalker 2, follow your quest marker to find a small cave near the river. Make sure to quickly move inside the cave system, as there is an anomaly here. Keep moving down the path and turn right when you come across a mining railway track. Be careful, as some of the anomalies here can kill you.

Find a room full of mechanical equipment and investigate the wooden structure in the middle of the room to find The Emitter. Pick it up and leave as soon as possible to avoid taking Psi-Damage while in the room.

This will complete the Just Like the Good Old Days quest in Stalker 2. You can go back and talk to Lodochka if you want, or head to the next mission, Hornet's Nest.
