Stalker 2 walkthrough: How to complete King of the Hill mission

The King of the Hill is an optional main story mission in Stalker 2. This mission puts you in the middle of gang warfare between some of the gangsters in the zone. You will need to side with one of them. The King of the Hill quest can be activated during the Deal with the Devil quest if you don't kill either the targets or Varan.

This article will provide a walkthrough of the King of the Hill quest in Stalker 2.

Stalker 2: King of the Hill Walkthrough

The King of the Hill is an optional quest that can be triggered while talking to Varan during the main story mission, Deal with the Devil in Stalker 2. You can either pay him money (20,000 Credits) or do him a favor by taking out his competition, the Shah and Roosevelt.

Kill Roosevelt

You will have an easier time taking out Roosevelt by talking to Borodulin. You can find the latter on the road west of the Hydroelectric Station. After completing a small trial for him, by either killing or hiding from mutants for a minute or so, he will give you the location for a secret passage to the Commissary where Roosevelt is hiding.

Regardless of whether you sneak in, Roosevelt will find you and will try to negotiate with you to spare his life. Make sure to take him down as he will not hand over his PDA if you decide to not kill him.

Kill the Shah

The Shah can be found in the Brood's base. There is an optional way to gain entry to the base if you complete the No Honor Among Thieves mission and choose to kill Docent.

Unlike Roosevelt, the easiest way to take down the Shah is to go in guns blazing. You need to eliminate most of the guards positioned outside the base and carve a bloody path to Shah, who is on the building's second floor.

You can also enter this building stealthily via the pipes attached to the Brood's base. Follow these pipes, and you will find a way to climb them. Then, slowly and carefully move towards the base and enter the building through the second-floor window to take out the Shah.

After you kill both the targets, take their PDAs back to Varan. This will bring King of the Hill in Stalker 2 to its end and also resume the Deal with the Devil main mission. That said, it is better to kill Varan, as he will end up betraying you at the very end.
