Stalker 2 walkthrough: How to complete Shift Change side mission

Shift Change is an interesting side mission in Stalker 2 that can be accessed in the Wild Island region. It has a few similar objectives to the Hot on the Trail main mission, but you must interact with a specific person to access Shift Change. Following that, you are required to eliminate some zombies and get an item to complete the mission.

This guide will walk you through all the details of completing the Shift Change side mission in Stalker 2.

You can access the Shift Change mission on your way to the Waste Processing Station for the Hot on the Trail mission. Get to the station in Wild Island, and look for a small house in the south. You will hear a person calling for help when you are near it. Go inside to interact with Jumper and, his friend, Bluish.

Afterward, they will ask for your help to eliminate a creature hiding in the Waste Processing Station's underground. However, you have to collect a key from the supervisor to get down there. Upon accepting Jumper's request, the Shift Change side mission starts in Stalker 2.

Shift Change side mission in Stalker 2: Walkthrough

The first objective is to collect the key to the underground from a supervisor named "North." Enter the Waste Processing Station building, and climb up the staircases. Since you have to deal with multiple human zombies on your way, carry all the essential stuff, including plenty of ammo, healing items, food, and more.

On the second floor, jump down the red container to reach the other side. Use the stairs, followed by the ladder to reach the rooftop. Next, look down for three big, red pipelines on the building's side. Fall on the middle one to find North's dead body. Retrieve the underground key from his body.

Note that here, you fill two needs with one deed, as taking the underground key from North's dead body is also an objective for the Hot on the Trail main mission!

Afterward, enter the Waste Processing Station building again and follow the objective marker to find a door beside a staircase. Go inside and Descend the ladders. Go through the tunnel, and before reaching the end, use the ladder on your right to go up.

Proceed forward and eliminate the zombies on your way to reach a large area with numerous machines. In there, you must eliminate the mutant wearing a white-colored cloth. Jumper will then confirm the monster's death via radio and send details to loot a stash.

Proceed through the broken wall in that area to locate a locked door. Use the passcode 0505 to open the door, and then collect the "Note from a Monolith" from a blue stash. You can also loot multiple AKM-74s from that room.

Following that, leave the room and use the stairs on your left to ascend. Open the door once you reach the top, where a person called Hog will confront you. Although there will be two prompts while interacting with him, both will end in him and his men attacking you. You must eliminate Hog and his two companions.

When done, talk to Jumper, and show him the Note from a Monolith. He will then understand that his stash was looted and will grant you 3374 Coupons as compensation.
