A special skin pack called the Star Wars Classic Skin Pack, is now available for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Minecraft. Priced at $2.99, the Downloadable Content (DLC) will contain over 50 new skins based on different Star Wars character from the original Trilogy, Episodes IV through and VI and the Galactic Civil War. Considering the fact that Minecraft is an open world sandbox game, many players would love the chance recreate some of the classic scenes from the Star Wars films, which DLC will allow.
Here is the official description given:
“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. The Star Wars Classic Skin Pack features an assortment of over 50 heroes, villains, and rogues from the Galactic Civil War. Whether you pick a Jawa or the mighty Darth Vader, you can play as your favorite Star Wars characters from Episodes IV to VI, Minecraft style.”

But this DLC will only contain skins for your character, it does not change the game in any other way. The mobs and world will remain the same so don’t expect any game changing content. It is still fun if you want to play as Darth Vader or Han Solo.
Sadly the DLC will only be limited to Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game. So PS3, PS4 and mobile platform owners will be missing out. This maybe largely due to the Microsoft’s purchase of Mojang and even though the DLC isn’t game changing in any way it still seems a bit unfair to owners of other consoles. Hopefully, there will be a release for the PS and mobile platform versions soon. At least PS console owners have the Skyrim Minecraft mash up to look forward to.
