#2 A Metroidvania world
The world of Jedi Fallen Order has been hugely inspired from the Metroid and Castlevania games, which means that the entire world will be one big interconnected space with some of the early areas locked out due to unavailability of a specific ability.
The most recent example of Metroidvania style semi-open world game is 2018's God Of War featured a similar level design as compared these others. Many of the areas were locked out initially till Kratos didn't acquire a specific ability to unlock that area or the door.

Metroidvania games encourage replayability and backtracking and it would be interesting to see how Jedi Fallen Order takes advantages of such a situation. The game will feature multiple planets which players can explore on foot.
Although the golden path of the game will be a more linear affair, there will be areas that will be locked out and can be explored later on when Cal acquires a specific force ability.
#3 Skill Tree
Speaking of force abilites, Cal will have a skillset to use as well as upgrade during the course of the game. Alongside his trusty lightsaber, force abilites will provide much more varity to the game's combat.
The game will feature three distinct skill trees for different gameplay attributes of the game.
They are:-
Force, Light saber and Survivability.
Some of the force abilities which we currently know are force push, pull, freeze, etc. Also keep in mind that the force bar drains by the course of the time and can only refill once the player engages in combat and not by hiding away.
There will also be various skill perks associated with upragding Cal's lightsaber which includes abilities such as throwing the lightsaber on your enemies.(Like Kratos throws the Levithian Axe in God Of War.)
