Dance of the Moonlight Jellies in Stardew Valley is the second festival of the summer season, following the Luau Festival. It is perhaps the simplest as it doesn’t require any hunt for a special item, competition, or a fetch quest. Instead, it’s all about focusing on the migrating Jellyfish. The main attraction is the social aspect of this event and the time-limited store that contains rare items.

This guide provides details on when you can join the Moonlight Jellies, the various events that unfold, and everything else you need to know about this festival.

Most festivals in Stardew Valley involve some sort of competition or quest to claim rewards. But the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies is all about the whole town coming together to enjoy the migrating jellyfish.

You can interact with various Stardew Valley characters to learn more about their lives or bring them gifts to increase your friendship level with them. If the wooden bridge to the east isn't repaired, it will be temporarily repaired to allow access to Robin, Leah, and the Wizard in the eastern area of the Beach.

Talking to Mayor Lewis in the plaza will trigger a special cutscene where he will light a torch to attract more jellyfish. You will find yourself standing near the edge of the pier, watching the jellyfish float. If you’re married or engaged to any Stardew Valley romance options, they will be included in the cutscene, as they watch the jellyfish with you.

The jellyfish are generally blue. However, there is a slight chance for a green jellyfish to appear during the cutscene.
