There are five levels of gifting items for each character. Loved, liked, and neutral items increase the friendship levels while disliked and hated items decrease your friendship levels with the character.

Sebastian is relatively easy to befriend because of how easily some items can be obtained to increase friendship levels with him. You can gift him twice per week and thrice on his birthday (Winter 10).

How to complete heart events and marry Sebastian in Stardew Valley
