In the latest issue of PlayStation magazine, the executive producer for resident evil threw some light on some of CAPCOM's biggest franchises. He did deliver some good news for resident evil fans, but fans of other major franchises may have to wait a while.
When asked about Resident Evil 7, the executive producer said, "we’re currently not at a state to talk about it… but please stay tuned, and of course, I believe that we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I’m thinking about it and also preparing for it." Its still a long shot, but at least we now know that the developers are making plans for it.
The extra focus on providing horror in Resident Evil 7 is mostly because of the hate the franchise has got over the past few installments. Resident Evil 6 failed to deliver both critically as well as commercially due to it being more of an action game rather than a survival-horror game.

The last installment in the long-running franchise is "Resident Evil Revelations 2", which was released as an episodic game consisting of 4 story episodes along with 2 special episodes. The game had potential but failed to make a major impact.
Capcom did announce a new game in "Resident Evil" universe named "Umbrella Corps" recently during the Sony Conference at TGS(Tokyo Game Show). Though they later confirmed it to be a spin-off. The game is a multi-player shooter similar to "Operation Racoon City" and will be available digitally in early 2016.
The magazine then asked questions regarding other major franchises such as Devil May Cry or Dragon Dogma. Unfortunately the developer confirmed that neither of the franchises are having a sequel in development at the moment by saying, "They’re also things I’d like to personally do, but there are no plans [for now],"
CAPCOM recently released a remastered version for “Devil May Cry” for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
