In a surprise reveal, Prime Gaming is giving away Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League for free to all subscribers, alongside a couple of other AAA games on July 16, 2024. This was announced via an official post by Amazon, citing the occasion as its 10th Prime Day Event. While the Rocksteady-developed game has been controversial for its live-service aspects leading to an underwhelming reception, free is free.

In other words, many players will no doubt be happy to dive into the Arkhamverse once again at no extra cost. Let's take a look at when the game will be available to redeem alongside other freebies.

Why was Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League controversial?

Developer Rocksteady is known for its amazing single-player, open-world, and story-driven Batman Arkham games, but Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League broke the trend by being a live-service looter game. This shift in direction was off-putting for many players as it was deemed soulless and generic.

It has only been five months since the game's launch, so to see it available for free to a subset of players is fairly surprising. Despite the backlash, Rocksteady has been hard at work pumping out new content for the game. This includes new characters, levels, loot, as well as the entirety of Season 2 that has officially gone live as of late.
