Appearance
Every weapon has two forms, one when it is summoned and one when it is ascended. Upon ascending the weapon receives an upgrade in its design. Summit Shaper is in the form of a sword, with a black hilt and a blunt edge as well as a sharp edge. The blunt edge is primarily black in colour and has two spikes. The sword is in a rhomboid shape and it is often jokingly compared to a banana.
Non-Ascended
Before ascension, the sharp edge of the sword is of a light yellow colour. Some part of this is seen near the hilt and the blunt edge.
Ascended
Upon ascension, the weapon becomes more lustrous. All the light yellow sections light up and this brings a darker, sharper yellow tone. Because of this, the contrast between the black and yellow start showing, making the black parts of the sword appear darker than before.

Is the Summit Shaper good?
Summit Shaper is a good weapon if you have someone to cast a shield on the character using the weapon. However, although being a good sword, it looks a little lackluster compared to other event exclusive weapons like Mistsplitter Reforged and Jade Cutter. It also has the issue of diminishing returns, where having too much attack on a character can get them to a point where more attack won’t matter as much.
How does Summit shaper work?
This weapon increases the Shield Strength of the shield created or picked up by the character using this sword. As of now, there are no characters that use this weapon that have the ability to create such a shield. However, this applies to the Crystallize Shield picked up by the character.
In addition, this weapon also increases the ATK of the character using this weapon each time you hit the opponent. This can go upto 20% at Refinement 1. If you are protected by a shield, this effect goes up by 100%; which means that each time you hit the opponent while being protected by a shield, your damage increases by 8% instead of 4% at Refinement 1.
Is Summit Shaper good for Ayaka?
Summit Shaper is an incredible option for Ayaka if you don’t have Mistsplitter Reforged or Jade Cutter. It outclasses all other 4 Star weapons. Since Ayaka is an elemental damage dealer, the attack will be of huge benefit to her as well.
Final Thoughts
While not the best weapon out there, Summit Shaper is one of the most incredible weapons out there for DPS characters. It provides tons of ATK to your DPS and lets you focus on Crit Rate and Crit Damage on your artifacts even with bad substats. Although completely outclassed by Mistsplitter and Jade Cutter, Summit Shaper is just miles ahead of every other option for your sword wielding damage dealer simply because of how strong it is.
