While it is a gacha game, the systems in Sword of Convallaria are different from the ones you expect from big names like Wuthering Waves or Genshin Impact. Unlike those titles, this latest medieval fantasy RPG has a few different banners.
Before learning about the pity and soft-pity systems in Sword of Convallaria let's take a look at the various banners available for you where you can use your premium currency in the hopes of obtaining precious heroes:
- Standard Banner(Fateful Summon): The banner that has all the legendary units in the game. This is permanent and will be in the game so you won't have to worry about losing any characters.
- Standard Weapon Banner: Contains legendary weapons that you can obtain and equip on your heroes.
- Destined Banners: Two legendary units will be on rate-up, and you can obtain either of them. It is limited.
- Debut: Only one legendary character will be on rate-up and you are guaranteed to get them when you hit pity. This banner is limited as well.
- Beginner: You are guaranteed to get one rate-up character after 30 summons. But keep in mind that it will disappear once you have hit the required summons.
Now let's dive into how pity and soft-pity systems in Sword of Convallaria work.
The first thing you will notice is that all banners will have a 100/ 180 pity and soft-pity system barring the Debut banner, which has 100/ 160. Hitting 100 pulls will give you one guaranteed Legendary character, but this will be randomly selected from the pool. However, reaching the 180 mark will have a rate-up unit but there is a caveat.
For the dual banners, there is no guarantee on which characters you will get when you hit the confirmed legendary pity. However, if you can hit the 160 mark in the debut banner, you will get the rate-up character. The standard banner will, however, be randomized and after 180 summons, the pity will reset to 0.
Keep these requirements in mind when you hit the 180 pity or 100 soft-pity while trying for a reroll in Sword of Convallaria.
