#2 Resident Evil 7
Resident Evil 7 is everything a survival horror game should be.
I was scared and worried and panicked and tensed at every step I took in the Baker family's mysterious mansion full of secrets and creepy locations to discover and jump scares to deal with.

Resident Evil 7 surprised me at every corner, from its calm beginning to every encounter I had with the three of the different members of the Baker Family and the disgusting moulders.
The fact that I felt vulnerable throughout the game wasn't just because the game was so scary but because Ethan Winters- The protagonist of the game felt so vulnerable.
He was just another random guy trying to find his lost wife in an unknown house with absolutely no clue what to expect.
He wasn't a rookie cop or an agent just like other Resident Evil characters.
He was an ordinary guy and so I connected with him a lot because I felt it wasn't him there, but me.
Resident Evil 7 is a masterpiece, a game with probably the best pacing I have played in a long long time, a breath of fresh air among all the big huge open world games, most importantly its Capcom's return to form, the glory they once lost.
#1 Bloodborne
There is no other game developed this generation that could take the place Bloodborne has in my heart, not even Bloodborne 2 when and if it comes out.
You see, Bloodborne came out very early this generation and I was wonderstruck with the fact that how gorgeous it looked and how amazingly well my PS4 handled it.
Besides its jaw-dropping artistic gothic castles, Bloodborne's world was so unique and weird and crazy to explore, not to forget that it was probably the hardest game I have ever played, atleast that's what I felt in the beginning hours. It took me 8 hours to get past the first two bosses. My hands sweaty, my mind running faster than bullet trains and my confidence burning faster than a candle on a windy night.
When I slept, I dreamt about strategies to kill a boss, when I woke I was playing the game. Bloodborne had completely taken over my life and it took me, to be precise about 79-80 hours to finish the game on my first playthrough and what an achievement it was.
Through its Dracula like castles, to its cryptic vague environment storytelling, to its incredible boss battles and to it's tight and precise combat-which spoiled every other game for me even the Witcher 3, makes Bloodborne probably my all time favourite.
There's nothing I don't like about this game, and there's absolutely nothing I would change about it either.
Hidetaka Miyazaki is a mastermind and this game is just a depiction of one of the finest art he has ever crafted.
