The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 2, titled In The House of Darkness will tell you the story through Madison's eyes and is set in the present timeline. In this somewhat straightforward chapter, you will be tasked with meeting Augustine Leiber. You will also meet certain key characters, whose fate will lie on your hands later in the story where you can either forsake them to their doom or save them in The Casting of Frank Stone.

The dream

Whereas Chapter 1 of The Casting of Frank Stone kicked things off like a 90s slasher movie, this will begin with something straight out of the psychological horror genre. The dream sequence is quite straightforward.

The only thing to notice during this segment is you can inspect the photo near Madison's bed. Check it when you get control of her immediately after the introductory cutscene, and check it once more when you stumble into the room again.


Driving to Gerant Manor

This will be your first major choice in The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 2. You can either choose to ignore the Hitchhiker or stop by and give her a lift. Our recommendation is:

  • Choose to help the Hitchhiker by stopping your car. She will introduce herself as Linda.
  • Ask her about her job.

Be quick as the choice wheel has a short timer and missing it will skip the dialog sequence.


Exploring the manor

Once inside the manor, you will gain control of Madison.

  • Head up the stairs and you will find a piece of musical sheet on a table to your right. Flip it to learn the note.
  • Head up the second set of stairs and go through the double door.
  • Look to your left and you will find Stan's business card. Check the table near the window to find your second Storyteller Artifact - The Estate Letter.
  • Go to the Piano and interact with it. A tune will play, leading you to a secret door.
  • Continue through the secret passage and go through the first door. Look to the floor to find the second Killer Doll - The Huntress.

Meeting Stan

Keep following the passage and you will come across a big door. Go through it to trigger a cutscene where Linda and Madison meet Stan. Your choices do not matter much during this section of The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 2.

Accepting the drink or rejecting it

  • Once you regain control of Madison, go straight, to find the Epic of Gilgamesh Champion Artifact.
  • Now turn back and interact with the cabinet to find a poster of Murder Mill.

This will trigger a cutscene where the trio will meet Augustine Lieber. You can either accept or reject the drink when she offers you one. We recommend accepting the drink as that will lead you to a shocking discovery.
