“The Catch” was introduced as a free weapon in version 2.1 acquirable by gathering the appropriate materials for the Inazuma Fishing Association alongside its refinement items. This makes it one of the most F2P friendly items in the game. With its Energy Recharge substat and passive that boosts the Crit Rate and damage of Elemental Burst, The Catch is one of the strongest, most accessible weapons for Burst-centric characters.

Appearance
Each weapon has two forms, one when it is initially summoned and another once it has reached a certain level of ascension. Once this occurs, the weapon will undergo a change in its design. “The Catch” is a twin-headed harpoon with a light blue coloration while both its base and the guard piece around its sharpened ends are a silver color.
Non-Ascended
The spearhead is a dulled light blue coloration as well as its handles.
Ascended
The polearm begins to radiate light. The spearheads are now shining white and a helix can be found running up the shaft of the spear up to its guard.
Story
The favored barbed spear of a famous Inazuman bandit. It was originally a harpoon used to catch fish, but it was also very handy in battle. They say that he even pierced the enchanted, sword-armed puppet before carrying it off.
"Haha! Once, I was the master of this ship, the 'Seiraimaru.'"
"I commanded over ten ships, and they called me the Deathless Oni of Seirai."
"Now, I am but a leaf floating upon the waves."
"If not for Janome and the people marooned on those islands,"
"Forget raising our sails again - I doubt I would have managed to make it back to my home shores."
"And yet Seirai now looks like this."
"There is no longer any place for me in the Inazuman Islands."
"Even that naggy, fretful old shrine maiden is gone..."
The bandit named Ako Domeki's voice was thick with emotion. Then he said...
"Hey Janome! I'm now the freest man in the whole wide world!"
"Aunt Shrine Maiden! Didn't you say that you wanted to go see the world?"
"You know, go someplace else, like that Kamuna guy or that Konbumaru you always talk about?"
"You know what? Let me, Ako Domeki Zaemon, go in your stead!"
"Let me go see what the edge of the world really looks like!"
"We'll meet again where all ship routes end!"[Note 1]
"And when we do, it'll be my turn to tell you all about these distant lands!"
Trivia
-”The Catch” is notably the only weapon in the game to be in quotation marks.
-Similar to Event Weapons, “The Catch” doesn’t refine by consuming copies of itself. It has a unique item that grants refinement levels.

Is “The Catch” BiS for anyone?
The Catch is in many catching THE BiS 4 star Polearm for several characters, and it even manages to beat out several 5 star spears. Raiden, Xiangling and Rosaria used as a Cryo Support are all characters for whom this applies to.
What Artifacts should I use with “The Catch”?
“The Catch” has perfect synergy with the 4PC Emblem of Severed Fates, so you should look to pair that set with it as often as possible to really send your damage output skyhigh.
Final Thoughts
It almost feels like stealing with how powerful “The Catch” is for being an item that can be acquired completely in game with no investment other than time. It is bar none one of the strongest polearms in the game and is easily refinable to its most powerful state. You would definitely be doing yourself a disservice if you’re using one of the many supportive polearm users and not maximizing them by grinding out the materials for this weapon.
