The Extortionist in Escape from Tarkov is one of the early tasks that you need to complete in the game. It is handed out by Skier after you finish the Supplier quest. However, you may be wondering how to complete the task since its objective only says it requires you to go to Customs to obtain a valuable cargo.

To complete The Extortionist in Escape from Tarko, you must follow these steps:

• Locate and secure the valuable cargo on Customs.
• Locate the messenger’s body on Customs (Optional).
• Find the location where the messenger hid the valuable cargo on Customs (Optional).
• Hand the valuable cargo over to Skier.

The Unknown key location

To find the valuable cargo on Customs, you must unlock a locked room. To do that, you need a key called the “Unknown Key.”

To find the Unknown Key on Customs, go to the hole in the wall near the RUAF Roadblock while heading towards Crack House or Fortress. Inside a giant bush, you will see a messenger’s body. Interact with it to acquire the key.

If the Unknown Key is not on the body, it means some other player has taken it already and is doing the exact same task. In this case, go to the location where the cargo is and wait for them to unlock the door.

The valuable cargo location

After you get the Unknown Key, go to the other side of the map to acquire the valuable cargo.

The cargo is located right outside of Warehouse 3 right beside the warehouse with the power switch. Unlock its door and go inside.

The cargo will be hidden under a jacket. Get close and interact with it to secure the quest item.
