It was completely out of the blue and it took fans by surprise. All that said, it's a game that was built for the current generation of systems. Hence, expect a few cutbacks in terms of graphical fidelity and, possibly, the framerate as well, for it to run properly and consistently on the PS4.

What to expect from The Finals on PlayStation 4?

As discussed earlier, The Finals on PlayStation 4 can see multiple cutbacks to the game's graphical fidelity. This might result in lower resolution and the use of lower visual presets for other items such as mesh, texture filtering, textures, and anti-aliasing solutions.

Although we don't have any official details about it, we can expect the framerate to target 60 FPS for the most part which might dip during intense action. Since it is a first-person shooter, locking it down to 30 FPS will not be ideal. Hence, expect it to run within a 60 Hz container.

Overall, considering the shooter's performance on current-gen systems, we expect a stable and consistent gameplay experience in most cases on the PlayStation 4.
