For current-gen systems, the upcoming update brings 120 Hz mode support and a lot of quality-of-life improvements to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for fans. Unfortunately, 120 Hz mode won't be available for the Xbox Series S and the last-gen system PS4.
Everything new in The Finals Season 5
The Finals Season 5 is an important milestone in the game's journey and the update is loaded with content. Here's everything fresh that is coming to the game in Season 5:
New map
Season 5 for The Finals is bringing a new map for fans to dive in. Called Bernal, it is a "magical town" set in Mexico. Going in, expect streets of cobblestone at the heart of the map. That said, it wouldn't be a "The Finals" map if there wasn't verticality. Players can take advantage of the rooftops and traverse the map on their own terms. If that seems like too much work, they can always simply blow holes through the walls and make their way.
Introduction of Clubs
Club is a new social feature that will be added with The Finals Season 5. It allows players, be it solo or in a squad, to connect, collaborate, and compete for the Club Contracts, and earn XP. That's not all, though. It also allows players to easily find squad mates who are looking to team up to play the same mode.
New weapons and gadgets
So far, the developers have revealed two new weapons and gadgets. However, more are on their way as Season 5 progresses. These new weapons and gadgets include:
- ShAK-12 (Weapon): A powerhouse rifle for the Heavy, the ShAK-12 unleashes two bullets per shot to deliver devastating stopping power with every trigger pull.
- Cerberus 12GA (Weapon): A break-action triple barrel shotgun for the Medium class, equipped with incendiary shells capable of igniting contestants and the environment in fiery chaos.
- Gravity Vortex (Gadget): A deployable gadget for the Light class that creates a remote-triggered singularity, pulling players, objects, and objectives in. It is perfect for trapping foes or suspending objectives.
- Lockbolt Launcher (Gadget): A Heavy gadget that fires an anchor, tethering up to three players, objectives, or items. Anchored players can move but will be quickly pulled back if they stray too far.
Upcoming Sponsors
The importance of Sponsors in The Finals cannot be denied and Season 5 will be bringing back one from the past along with two new ones. Given below are all the Sponsors you'll be able to access:
- ISEUL-T (returning)
- DISSUN (new)
- VAIYA (new)
That covers everything that you need to know about The Finals Season 5. As established, it is full of content, and with its release on a last-gen system, the player base will only grow moving forward.
