As fans await the official reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 console, the first game for the much-awaited next-gen system may have been announced already. Developer Playtonic Games recently released a brand-new Console Announcement trailer for Yooka-Replaylee. This is the upcoming remaster of the 2017 3D platformer game from the ex-Rareware developers.
In the end, the console logo screen curiously only includes a "Nintendo" logo with googly eyes instead of the usual Nintendo Switch one. Here's what this means for Nintendo Switch 2.

The Nintendo logo has been taken as a sign of the game coming out for both Nintendo Switch and its next-gen successor. This makes sense as there is no reason not to feature the standard Nintendo Switch logo otherwise. However, that is not the only logical clue we have to go off on.
Playtonic also announced the news of the console versions on their official website, detailing what fans should expect from this revamped launch. Here's what they had to say concerning the platforms for Yooka-Replaylee:
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Not just the cries of avid Daniel Bryan fans, but also the answer to the question “Will Yooka-Replaylee be coming to consoles?"
They continue:
"Yes! Yooka-Replaylee will be playable on PS5, Xbox Series consoles and… Nintendo? (Ooh mysterious. We’ll have more on that as soon as poss!)"
This refers to the logo featured in the trailer, but it does spell good news for fans as a debut reveal of the next-gen system is imminent. The rumor mill has been slowly working up steam lately, as we have seen recently with a full Nintendo Switch 2 specs leak, including hardware, peripheral details, and more.
There have also been game leaks for the Nintendo Switch 2, suggesting titles such as a Yakuza/Like A Dragon collection, but this is the first official game to be hinted at, meaning we are at the end of the line. With excitement mounting further and further, Nintendo has been nothing but tight-lipped on the matter.
As such, it is about time the iconic Japanese games maker finally lifted the wraps off their new console before the year comes to an end.
