The Hermit in Escape from Tarkov: How to complete and rewards

While Jaeger is known for handing out some bothersome tasks, The Hermit in Escape from Tarkov is the opposite. His task is quite simple to complete as you have to go to Lighthouse and retrieve a piece of letter containing a message from Jaeger’s friend. Although the task seems quite simple, the PMCs camping on the mountains for sniper rifle kills are one of the most challenging parts to tackle.

You must complete the following objectives for The Hermit in Escape from Tarkov:

• Find the hideout of Jaeger’s friend on Lighthouse.
• Secure and retrieve the letter containing the message for Jaeger on Lighthouse.
• Hand the letter containing the message over to Jaeger.

To discover the hideout of Jaeger’s friend, go to the village area on the eastern part of the map. You must keep your guard at all times as players tend to go prone and snipe players, who are on their way to the water treatment plant, from the mountains.

When you spawn in Lighthouse, only make your way toward the water treatment plant if you spawn on the chalet side. You don't have to go towards the water treatment plant if you spawn near it. Now that you know where you spawned, head to the island-like area with wooden houses near the Path to Shoreline extraction point.

When you are in the island-like area, look for a small bunder-like wooden door near the main road of the village. Now, go close to the door, and you will see the letter containing the message right under it. Look at it and interact to retrieve the letter.

Now, all you have to do is survive and extract from the location. The best way to do that is to go the Path to Shoreline area for a quick and easy extraction or go to the Mountain Pass point if you have Red Rebel and Paracord.
